Here ya go blog machine

I am emotionally tired today. It's one of the side affects of the new job. Well worth it, but still not the most fun. Today Alan and I had some great discussion on church, the Rescue Mission, and what it means to be the church for the sake of the world. Also slipped in the practical aspect of trying to do such a thing in the 21st century where work and family are segmented and social classes are as divided as ever. This spiraled into our team meeting (the team of which I am a part at work) and Jim and Mark joined the fray in what was a spirited if fragmented discussion on (among other practical matters) signs and wonders, Kingdom of God, authenticity and community, love and action, judging and acceptance, music and worship, healing and brokenness, and on and on. I did momentarily rant RE: Kingdom of God.

Still all this is secondary to actually experiencing the above. and so perhaps we pray with that in mind. More than anything I want to tune in to what the Spirit is doing and join in at every level, family, church, work - and I want to blur the lines in ways that leave one confused but satisfied.

Nouwen taught me about silence and I think I'll share a bit of that soon - I'd better stop ranting first, huh?

I will now go watch a lame sitcom and bathe before going to a place of slumber.

Peace to you as you go -
